Let’s talk
economics — supply and demand. When demand outpaces supply, prices go up. But
when we support Canadian-made products, when we buy local and build local,
we’re not just helping our neighbours — we’re boosting supply chains, creating
jobs, and putting downward pressure on prices. We’re starting to see it
already: heating costs are easing, fuel prices are dipping, and the cost of
essentials is stabilizing.
Now’s the time
to throw old habits and shopping patterns out the window. Do the research. Find
out who’s growing, building, making and supplying right here at home. Support
your local grocers, butchers, farmers, builders and craftspeople. When we choose Canadian, we strengthen our economy— and when our supply surpasses demand, we
lower prices and create surpluses we can sell to the world.
In just the past
month, Mark Carney has taken bold, tangible action to give Canadians real
relief:
✅ Cancelled the Consumer Carbon Tax, bringing down fuel prices.
✅ Cut
taxes for the middle class, putting more money in your pocket.
✅ Committed
to building 500,000 affordable homes per year — for the next 10 years.
✅ Expanded
the national dental plan, helping more people access the care they need.
✅ Extended
Old Age Security benefits, giving seniors more breathing room.
✅ Defended
Canada against unjust U.S. tariffs, and committed to returning those tariff
dollars to the hardest-hit industries.
✅ Promised
full funding for trades training, empowering a new generation of workers.
✅ Laid
the foundation for an economy built to last — focused on energy,
innovation, and opportunity.
✅ Released a fully costed Recovery Plan — for the next 4 years, the liberals will invest in capital energy and housing projects, and balance the operational budget within 4 years.
This is how we build our economy stronger, this is how we build Canada Stronger.
That’s
leadership. That’s progress. That’s a Canada worth fighting for, and fight we must.
But There’s more we can do. There’s more we must do.
Creating jobs
means investing in industry, in opportunity, and in our people. We need to rise
to the challenge— to pull up our socks, roll up our sleeves, and get to work.
Because when Canada thrives, our community thrives. When we grow our
economy, we grow prosperity — right here in Northern BC.
My commitment is clear:
I will never stop fighting for Cariboo–Prince George. I will never stop
thinking of new ways to build our community — bigger, better, and stronger.
I will never stop seeking opportunities to attract investment, create jobs, and
bring prosperity to the place we proudly call home.
Let’s work
together to lower costs, build smarter, support local, and strengthen Canada —
from the North, outward.
Let’s get it
done.
