Because I
believe in hope.
I believe in resilience.
And I believe in
the power of kindness and respect.
These two simple
acts—respect and kindness—cost nothing, yet they hold the power to transform
lives. Sadly, too often they are withheld from those who need them most.
Instead, many of our LGBTQ2S+ family, our First Nations neighbours, and the
women of this country still face waves of hate and discrimination that have no
place in a just society.
To my LGBTQ2S+
siblings: I see you. I stand with you—not just as an ally, but as one of you. I
know the weight we carry, the battles we fight for authenticity, safety, and
dignity. Your light shines bright, and I will continue to fight to make sure no
one ever tries to dim it.
To our First
Nations communities: I stand as your ally and your defender. The path to
reconciliation requires more than words—it requires meaningful action. I will
listen, I will learn, and I will work with you to advance truth and justice.
To women across
our riding and our country: your rights are non-negotiable. You are the
custodians of your own bodies and choices. As your advocate, I will always
stand up to protect your freedom, your autonomy, and your right to live without
fear.
None of our
communities should still be exposed to the levels of hate we continue to face.
And while the scars remain, so too does our strength.
My promise is
simple and unwavering:
- I
will fight alongside all of you.
- I will raise your voices in all ways possible.
- I will ensure the issues that matter to us are no longer ignored or dismissed.
I will always put our people
first—especially those too often pushed to the margins.
Let’s bring a
new age of dialogue forward—one built on empathy, compassion, and truth.
Let’s show current and future leaders that kindness and respect are not just
ideals, but essentials.
Together, we can
build a better Canada.
Together, we can
build a stronger Cariboo.
Always in your
corner.
